How to recover deleted files from PC
Use “Undelete” to recover deleted files from PC
Many of us have experienced that oops moment when we accidently remove all the traces of some necessary files from our computers. Instead of cursing your computer, here’s what you can do to recover your lost data after it has been deleted once.
• RECYCLE BIN
That’s the first step. Check your recycle bin for the deleted files. More often than not, the deleted files end up in the recycle bin from where they can be easily recovered by right clicking on the required item and clicking “restore”.
• DON’T ACCESS THE DRIVE
In case you are unable to find your lost files in recycle bin, stop making any changes to your drives like saving new files or deleting more data. This increases the odds of you recovering your files by preventing the overwriting of your files.
• DATA BACKUP
If you already have your data in the hard drives backed up, your files will be preserved and will be quite safe and sound. You can easily use several of the backup programs that are available to back up your files so as to recover them in times of need. In order to obtain data from your back up, go to your backup via Start Menu >> Control Panel >> System and Maintenance >> Backup and Restore. Now click “Restore my Files” and follow the commands given by the wizard.
• FILE RECOVERY SOFTWARE
If you fail to find your deleted files in the recycle bin and have not created any back up either, do not worry. There’s still hope. Even if the deleted files and folders do not appear in the recycle bin, there is a pretty healthy chance that they still exist as windows usually does not permanently delete the items until the disk space runs low. This is where file recovery softwares come in handy. Some of the most useful file recovery softwares. One thing that is to be kept in mind while using file recovery softwares is that you should not download the program to the same drive. Save it to some other computer.
While it is highly advised to create a backup of your data for such situations, it is not entirely impossible to recover it once it has been lost. Consulting a professional in case you are not profoundly familiar with working of a computer can resolve the issue for you.
